Everyone on Earth can have one free plot — one per person — forever yours to know, follow, and care about. Become a Globefin member and claim yours.
Open the map →Map Around is building an atlas of the world’s unmet basic needs and the finance that could meet them — and the atlas is built one plot at a time. So every person on Earth gets a plot: one small area of the map, about 100 metres across, that’s yours to hold.
It’s not to own or trade — it’s a way to show your interest in a place and pay attention to it. From your plot, Map Around looks outward at the finance around it and the basic needs that go unmet nearby, so your one small stake is also a real part of a much bigger picture. You claim yours by being a Globefin member, where each member represents one real person.
Every plot is unique — no two people can hold the same one, and the choice spots go first. So if there’s a place that matters to you, claiming yours early matters: it’s how you make sure the plot you want is the plot you get.
Plots come in several sizes. Every person claims a free 0.001° plot. Any size can also be sponsored — a way for supporters to help fund Globefin's mission.

| 0.01° | Neighborhood | ~1.1 km / 0.7 mi | ~120 ha / 0.5 mi² | $1,000 |
| 0.1° | Section | ~11 km / 7 mi | ~120 km² / 47 mi² | $10,000 |

Your personal 0.001° plot is always free — one per person. Sponsorship is a separate act of support, available at every size. Read about sponsoring →
A note for founding members: the earliest plots were 0.01°. If you hold one, it's yours to keep and move — and you can now also claim a standard 0.001° plot.
Once you hold a plot, it becomes a place you can get to know. On the map you'll see what's physically there, the current weather, nearby landmarks and photos (from Photosgraph, the world's photo album), and how the surrounding country is doing on the goals finance serves — housing, jobs, health, education, and more.
You can also choose a goal to focus on for your plot and keep a private field journal — notes on why you chose it, what you notice, what you'd like to protect.
When you view a plot, its outline is colour-coded:
