Blocks of the map can be backed by supporters who want to fund the work. Sponsor a plot — from a small one up to a whole region — and 100% of the proceeds go to Globefin’s mission: global economic development through financial education and innovation.
Choose a plot on the map →Sponsorship is how you back the work. Supporters can sponsor a plot at any size, from a single Lot up to a vast Region, funding a mission built on a simple idea: basic needs go unmet not because they’re scarce, but because they’re unevenly financed — and that gap can be closed. 100% of the proceeds go to Globefin’s mission and the data we build for each plot.
Sponsoring is like endowing a named space — a building plaque, a park bench, a gallery wall. It's recognition and support, not ownership of land. Map Around is a joint venture with Photosgraph, the world’s photo album, who manage sponsorships. (Separately, every person can also claim one small plot for free — that’s covered on the free plot page.)
The largest Region plots are genuinely scarce — only about 145 exist on land — which is part of what makes sponsoring one meaningful.
Perpetual. A sponsorship is a lasting dedication, not an annual fee.
Recognition, not ownership. Sponsors are patrons of a plot; they don't acquire property or rights to the land.
Managed by Photosgraph. Sponsorships are handled by our joint-venture partner, Photosgraph — the world's photo album.
100% funds the mission. Globefin receives all proceeds from Map Around sponsorships, funding global economic development work through financial education and innovation. Read about our mission →
Not tax-deductible. Globefin is a nonprofit but not a 501(c)(3), so sponsorships are not tax-deductible.
Open the map, set the plot size to any size (a Lot, a Section, an Area, and so on), and press Sponsor on the plot you want. You'll add an optional dedication, then check out securely — payment is handled by Stripe through our partner Photosgraph. Your sponsorship activates automatically once payment clears.
